My experience with Kedar Pandit:

“Jai Ho! I know Kedar Pandit since when he was 11/12 years old. My disciple Girish always used to talk about Kedar very highly. One day there was no tabla player booked for one of my concerts. Girish suggested that Kedar is a very good tabla player and he will play. Kedar played in that concert very nicely and I enjoyed thoroughly and his journey started with me. I don’t remember from when I started calling him Kedar Pandit Jasraj. He became my son. He IS my son. It became my routine to sing with him. Where ever Kedar couldn’t come to accompany me, myself and my entire team used to miss him very badly on the stage. We toured many countries together and had one of the best part of my musical journey with Kedar. I sang with many great tabla artistes, but, Kedar’s accompaniment is unparalleled, unmatched.
He is an outstanding tabla player. Whenever I sing bhajans with Kedar’s accompaniment I go to trans. It is Kedar’s tabla making such an impact on me.

Under his music direction he recorded one devotional music CD sung by Sanjeev Abhyankar. It was released by me  which was the first one under Kedar’s music direction. While releasing this album I came to know that he is a wonderful music director too. At the release function they stared playing the CD and there was only tabla played by Kedar for a minute or so and believe me – immediately it impacted me in such a way that I found myself crying sitting on the stage in front of a huge audience and the entire media. Such is Kedar Pandit, a very promising music director under whose direction I also recorded some CDs.
